Saw the Light Guard Armory building, and was impressed and curious. I hope something good can be done with it. So much has lately been improved and built up in this midtown area, it would make a wonderful public space of some kind. It's actually City of Houston property and when i looked into it about 5 years ago, the city had leased it to the Houston Hispanic Forum for $1 a year for 100 years.
